So, it may not surprise any of you that things have been a bit rough here for a while. We’ve stalled out on many shows and it’s actually become a bit of a joke. As we’ve been around now for almost 6 years, it’s just a fact that the staff of the group has aged. And with that age has brought graduations, jobs, travel, family commitments, relationships, etc. Our policy at DDY is and always has been that real life comes first. It does no one any good if a staff member loses a job or a home situation because of fansubs. But typically, this is the reason things get stalled and it’s hard to kick back into it once the roadblock is cleared. It sucks and we don’t like stalling things, but it’s just a fact of life.
Nevertheless, this is something we’re going to be trying to rectify. Unfortunately, part of that process has to be being honest with ourselves and what is actually going to get done. So, with that said, for only the second time in our history, we’re going to be dropping some shows. We’re picking up more than we’re dropping, but it’s mostly due to staff activity and interest as well as effort level.
Additionally, those of us who are actually stalling BDs are going to try to dedicate some time weekly to getting these backlog items out. From me personally, I am going to attempt to get at least one bluray volume out per week on top of airing/TV shows we’re continuing. That’s a goal though, not a promise. My job in particular has me travelling every couple weeks lately which is extremely disruptive.

This is a but further out, but we will not be picking up DanMachi Season 2 and will be picking up Re:Zero Season 2.
Also, sadly, DDY Light Novel Audio Books has had to file for bankruptcy. This is primarily due to some of our voice actors (Microsoft David and Zira) going pro and their new increased rates.
